CURRENT EVENTS/NEWS:

200 YD RANGE IS

CLOSED TO ALL SHOOTING

Through April 18, 2014.

Due to a logging operation immediately behind the 200 Yard Range, the 200 Yard Range is closed to all shooting except on specific weekend days where indicated on the Club Event Calendar. Our match events of the CBA, 22 Long Range, Off-hand, and Home Guard remain scheduled.

Other ranges may be closed at times to be announced.

Check the calendar frequently to be sure of closures.

EMPTY CHAMBER INDICATORS REQUIRED SOON

Empty Chamber Indicators will soon be required for ALL firearms not in use on the firing line. When this rule is finalized, you must have a chamber flag fully inserted into the chamber. Please click here for more information about acceptable kinds of empty chamber indicators.

The flag's prominent colored handle will show our Range Safety Officers that that the firearm is unloaded and safe. All other range safety rules will still be in place. When a range is closed, there will be no gun handling, and ALL benched, grounded, or racked firearms must have chamber flags in place. Firearms safely holstered or closed in a case will be exempt. Details of the chamber flag requirement will be announced soon when supplies of flags are received and a procedure finalized.

Range Safety Officers

Although we are now on the Winter schedule, we still need Range Safety Officers. Please volunteer now for work bond hours so that there isn’t a rush in the spring. You many not be able to schedule RSO hours if you wait too long.
